Polar Feet began as I was searching for unique Christmas gift ideas at a fabric store in Vancouver in 2003. Standing in front of a bolt of cow print fleece fabric I suddenly thought, "Wouldn't cow socks be fun!" I sewed socks for everyone on my list and sent them off. Everyone loved them, and I found when I wore my own pair around town, people would stop me and ask where did you get those great socks!? The idea of developing this into a business of my own slowly took root and I made the leap--registered my business name, got my licenses, signed up for trade shows...so much to learn and do!
At my first trade show in spring of 2004 I had Cowsox and Snowflower socks. That was it. I didn't have a fancy booth or much of a display but the bright colours and fun prints caught the eyes of passers-by and I got a few orders. I quickly realized I needed more colours and more products for the next time around. Polar Feet ship every business day, Monday to Friday and do Polar Feet best to get any order received by 1pm shipped the same day--orders received after 1 pm in the afternoon will most likely be shipped the next business day.
You will receive an email confirming that your order has been received, and then a follow-up email will be sent once your order has been shipped.
Please note that tracking may not go live for 24 hours. Orders received on the weekend or on a holiday will ship the next business day. Please note that for various reasons, you may experience delays with any shipping method you select--unfortunately, that is out of the control of Polar Feet Ltd.
IMPORTANT: If your package is taking longer than expected, please check the tracking, and then please give it a few more days. Sometimes USPS marks packages as delivered just before actual delivery, which can be the the next day. Quite often a helpful friend or neighbor has your package, please check with them too.
Your next step would be to follow up with USPS directly as they will have the most relevant information for you.
Package Protection
If you are concerned about the safety of your package, select Package Protection at checkout and pay a small percentage of your order subtotal to protect your order from damage, loss, or theft. If your order never arrives or is damaged when it arrives, you can easily file a claim with Polar Feet team and receive a replacement order or be reimbursed.
If your package has been marked "delivered", yet you have not received it, please wait at least 3 days, but no longer than 15 days, after delivery confirmation to file a claim. Please note that Package Protection does not cover instances where shipping information was incomplete or inaccurate.
Important info: orders protected by Package Protection can only be replaced once. Package Protection does not cover delayed shipments as shipping times are estimated and not guaranteed.
To file a claim, contact Polar Feet with your Order ID, contact info, and a description of the problem, and Polar Feet will get back to you within 2-3 business days.
If you declined Package Protection, and your package has been lost, stolen, or damaged, please contact the carrier.
Polar Feet Ships USPS to US locations
Shipping rates to the US are just $5.99 regardless of the size of the order on any purchase up to $99. For orders over $99 shipping is FREE!
You may also select Polar Feet "Priority+1" which uses USPS Priority Post plus allowing for 1 day to process and pack your order.
If you prefer UPS or FedEx please contact Polar Feet to arrange this, otherwise it's good ol' USPS.
International destinations ship USPS International First Class Tracked.
International shipping is just $25 flat rate anywhere in the world! Please allow at least 20 business days. (Although, realistically, it can take longer.)

Outside the USA and Canada your order may be subject to duties and taxes charged by the destination country. Polar Feet is not responsible for the collection or payment of destination duties or taxes. Any additional duties or taxes will be the responsibility of the receiver. Polar Feet Returns
Polar Feet’re happy to exchange or refund your purchase from Polar Feet Ltd within 30 days of delivery if the product is unworn (in perfectly NEW condition) and in its original packaging with the tags on (as applicable).

Polar Feet suggest you use USPS 1st Class Tracked--it is the cheapest and most reliable way to ship. Please send Polar Feet the USPS tracking number as it will help to speed up your refund.
Once Polar Feet have received your item back and have determined that it is in NEW condition with the tags, Polar Feet will process your refund/exchange. Please note: Polar Feet do not have free returns so you will have to pay the shipping cost. Fortunately, if you use USPS as suggested it will be very reasonable.
EXCHANGES
If you are exchanging your unworn socks and/or accessories (with hangtags attached) or slippers (no marks on the soles or blemishes) for another size or color, please email Polar Feet at customerservice@polarfeet.com to let Polar Feet know your order number and what you will be sending back (with tracking number if possible to help things along) and what you would like in exchange. You will be responsible for shipping costs to Polar Feet, but Polar Feet won't charge to send exchanged product to you. Once Polar Feet have received the product back and it has been determined to be in new condition, Polar Feet will ship the exchange.
Please note: Polar Feet cannot guarantee that Polar Feet will have your desired exchange products in stock, but if not, Polar Feet will be in touch to ask you about alternatives.

Clearance items - clearance items are final sale, however, if you have an issue within 30 days of receiving them you can reach out to Polar Feet customer service for assistance.
Sale items - sale items cannot be refunded, however, Polar Feet are happy to exchange or credit.

DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE
All Polar Feet products are carefully made by hand. Although rare, on occasion Polar Feet do get return requests for defective merchandise. Please contact Polar Feet and let Polar Feet know what happened and provide a photo. After review, Polar Feet will send a credit (gift card code) for the value of the defective merchandise.
In most cases, Polar Feet will not ask to have the merchandise returned. If Polar Feet does ask that the defective merchandise be returned, it will be at the expense of Polar Feet.

Where do you ship from?
We pack and ship in Vancouver, BC. US/International orders are then taken next morning to Blaine, WA and given to USPS. We have a NY returns address for our US customers.
Are my Polar Feet washable?
Yes, all of our products are washer and dryer safe. You can wash all our fleece products (socks, neck warmers, mittens, headbands) on warm or cold, and dry on warm (or cold). Slippers can be washed warm and dried cool.
Are all your socks the same thickness?
No, there is a range of thickness. The "thinnest" is Purple Rain and the thickest is Supersoft Black and Supersoft Cream. All our prints are just a little thicker than Purple Rain (Jellybean, Jazz, Highlander, Lumberjack, Deco, Kaleidoscope, Snow Leopard, Ripple, Snow, Nordic, Polar Bear, Blue Argyle, Domino, Black, Zig Zag, Smarties). Then just a bit thicker again is Denim and Soft Grey. The thickest are the Supersoft socks.
Another way to look at it is by what kind of footwear is compatible with the different styles. So Purple Rain and our colorful prints--you can wear in any kind of shoes--the thickness is similar to a gym sock. Denim and Soft Grey work in runners or workboots or hiking boots. The two supersoft colors (Black and Cream) may be a little too thick to wear with most shoes but are awesome for lounging or wearing to bed as well as most boots.
